Asghar Farhadi , the Oscar-nominated director of the movie The Salesman , reportedly won’t be able to attend the 2017 Academy Awards happening next month due to President
Donald Trump’s “Muslim ban.”
The United States President , is refusing access to the United States for people from seven Muslim countries. There is an indefinite ban for everyone from Syria and there is a 90-day ban on visas for people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Farhadi , who hails from Iran, is already an Oscar winner after his movie A Separation won the award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2012. He’s nominated again this year in the same category for The Salesman.
